Yesterday, Congressman Rick W. Allen (GA-12) formally recognized the winners of the 2023 Congressional App Challenge for Georgia’s 12th District during a ceremony held at Lakeside High School in Evans, Georgia.

Lakeside students Iziq Thomas, Jerry Fan, and Kunsh Sharma were chosen for the award, offered annually to students across the nation, for their work developing Circa—a software application designed to aid users in achieving balance in various aspects of life, with a particular focus on mental health.

After the ceremony, Congressman Allen made the following statement:

"The Congressional App Challenge is America’s most prestigious prize in student computer science, and I am proud to offer my sincerest congratulations to Iziq, Jerry, and Kunsh for this well-deserved recognition. I am hopeful they will continue honing their remarkable talents and desire for helping others to lead a brighter future for our district, state, and nation."
