This week in washington...

After the loss of Reverend Billy Graham earlier this week, my colleagues and I gathered in the U.S. Capitol to pay our respects to America’s Pastor, who was lying in honor in the rotunda.

I also spoke on the House floor to honor the late Reverend Graham’s life and legacy – he will be sorely missed by all!

“His message of God’s love, mercy, forgiveness, and justice deeply influenced not only me, but also many in our nation’s history. In today’s day and age, we desperately need another Billy Graham, to give hope to a deceived, confused, and hopeless populous. Rev. Graham preached the truth, he lived it, and we know that the truth will set us free. But more importantly, Billy Graham has heard the words from the Savior of the world ‘well done my good and faithful servant.’”

I had the opportunity to meet with Georgia Department of Transportation to discuss transportation and infrastructure in GA12. Thanks for stopping by!

I also had the opportunity to meet with Georgia Credit Union affiliates to discuss legislative issues that affect their members.

Thank you for the update!

Please visit my website to see the dates and times for March Community Office Hours – this is a great way to talk to my staff one-on-one about any issues you may be experiencing with a federal agency.

Last night I attended the Augusta Metro Chamber Annual Meeting to give an update on my work in Washington and discuss the future of cyber in Augusta.

I am beyond proud to see the city of Augusta and Fort Gordon already playing a pivotal role in defending America in cyberspace.

This morning I joined leaders in our community for the Free File Briefing and Demo to highlight free federal and state income tax prep and e-filing services for moderate and lower income tax payers.

Free File is a great example of how government, the private sector and community groups can work together to provide an important service to the people.
