After the tragic school shooting in Florida, let us all come together to thank our brave first responders and pray for those who lost a loved one and everyone involved in this senseless act of evil.
In the face of pure evil, we all must come together as Americans. This was senseless violence – there is no question about that, but we must stand unified against this heartbreaking tragedy. To the people of Parkland, please know that I stand with you, the people of Georgia-12 stand with you, and we are keeping you all in our hearts and prayers.
Earlier this week, President Trump announced his American Infrastructure Initiative.
This includes significant proposed investments in rural infrastructure like rural broadband, which is critical to many of my constituents in Georgia-12.
President Trump also sent his budget request to Congress this week – the first step in the budget process.
It is now the job of Congress to take that information and create our own budget. It is crucial that we get the budget process back to regular order.
I also had the opportunity to meet with the Medical Association of Georgia to discuss the future of healthcare. Thanks for stopping by!
I hope everyone had a happy Valentine’s Day with their loved ones!
The deadline for the 2018 summer internship program in my Washington D.C. office is quickly approaching.
Please submit your application online at https://allen.house.gov/forms/internships/ by March 2nd.
Also please visit my website to see the dates and times for March Community Office Hours – this is a great way to talk to my staff one-on-one about any issues you may be experiencing with a federal agency.
I look forward to being in the district next week to hear from folks like you about tax reform and other important issues!
