Congratulations to Jon Rahm!

I would like to offer my sincere congratulations to Jon Rahm for his decisive victory in this year's Masters Tournament. Every spring, the world's greatest golfers travel to Georgia's 12th District to play at Augusta National, and get a look into the beauty that is GA-12.

While in Augusta last week, I had the opportunity to participate in the annual Red Carpet Showcase. It's always a pleasure to participate in this event highlighting our region’s growing business community.

I also got to take a behind-the-scenes look at ESPN's coverage of the 2023 Masters. Special thanks to the folks in the control room for letting us take a peek!

Louisville Rotary and Kiwanis Club

It was great to be at the Louisville Rotary and Kiwanis Clubs, where I provided an update on key issues affecting Georgians and shared my positions on some of the hot button topics of the day.

While in Louisville, I also met with Jefferson County Commission Chairman Mitchell McGraw and Jefferson County Administrator Jerry Coalson to discuss regional priorities.

Touring Manus Bio

I visited the Manus Bio site in Augusta, where I met with their leadership team and toured their operations.

Law Enforcement Appreciation Cookout

I attended the annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Cookout in Glennville, which provides a wonderful opportunity to thank the brave men and women who selflessly serve and protect our communities every day.

Biden Vetoes WOTUS Repeal

President Biden recently ignored the expressed will of the American people by vetoing H.J. Res. 27, which would terminate the Biden administration's proposed ‘Waters of the United States’ rule under the Congressional Review Act.

This administration’s WOTUS rule is a terrible overreach that greatly expands the authority of the federal government to regulate Americans’ private property and would have devastating effects on our nation’s farmers, small businesses and landowners in particular.

I am disappointed that the president doubled down on his failed policies and vetoed this resolution.
