Robin and I had the opportunity to tour the school and read to some of these wonderful students, including our granddaughter Hampton. As the senior Republican on the House Education and Labor Subcommittee on K-12 Education, I am proud of the work Apparo is doing through their Early Intervention and Education Program to ensure every child succeeds both in and out of the classroom.

I joined members of the CSRA community for a memorial celebration on MLK Day to remember the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. – a man who led an unwavering and peaceful march toward harmony in America.
Trump Administration Finalizes New Rule Defining Waters of the U.S.
This week, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of the Army finalized the Navigable Waters Protection Rule, which provides a new definition of Waters of the United States (WOTUS). The Obama-era WOTUS rule allowed the government to regulate even the smallest stream or puddle on a landowner’s property. The Trump Administration’s final rule provides much-needed clarity so there is no longer ambiguity on what defines a navigable waterway. More information about the final rule is available here.
