this week serving georgia's 12th district...

I spoke at the American Red Cross 7th Annual Heroes Banquet in Augusta.

It’s an honor to support the Red Cross and their mission and I’d like to thank them for the incredible work they do to save lives every day.

The House passed H.R. 2, the Agriculture and Nutrition Act of 2018, better known as the Farm Bill.

We are now one step closer to securing a brighter future for the American Farmer and I will continue to support rural America through this legislative process. To learn more about the bill and to view my full thoughts, please CLICK HERE.

I had great meetings with folks from the University of Georgia and the American Nurses Association to receive an update and hear how I can continue to assist them at the federal level.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by!

I was honored to present the Congressional Award Gold Medal to Sara Carr from Evans for her outstanding work with Habitat for Humanity.

Sara is truly a role model to her peers and has made all of us in Georgia-12 proud. Congratulations!

My colleagues and I continued to address the devastating opioid crisis in our country and I was happy to speak on the House floor in support of H.R. 6, the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act.

This is the most significant congressional effort against a single drug crisis in history as the House has voted on over fifty pieces of legislation.

Today we celebrate the 6 month anniversary of tax reform being signed into law!

After just 6 months we are seeing small business optimism at an all-time high, increased pay checks for hard working Americans, and for the first time ever, more job openings than job seekers.

I participated in a Health, Employment, Labor and Pensions (H.E.L.P) Subcommittee hearing in the House Education and Workforce Committee on “Growth, Opportunity, and Change in the U.S. Labor Market and the American Workforce.”

I spoke about the fact that folks are going back to work instead of pursuing disability claims due to robust economic growth spurred by Republican policies. To view my questions, please CLICK HERE.

After much deliberation, the House failed to pass H.R. 4760, the Securing America’s Future Act.

To view President Trump’s four-pillar immigration plan, included in H.R. 4760, and my full thoughts, please CLICK HERE.

As always, please feel free to share your thoughts with me! You can email me ⇒  HEREcontact any of our offices or join the conversation on FacebookTwitter or Instagram
