On Monday I joined my colleagues and men and women across America in proudly displaying a blue light in my window to show support for our law enforcement officers. To the men and women in blue: thank you for selflessly protecting our neighborhoods, schools, roads, the great state of Georgia and communities all across our country. Please know that we stand with you, support you and pray for you.

This week the House passed the Regulatory Accountability Act of 2017, legislation to overhaul and reform the regulation process.

Countless times I have stood on the House floor to tell the same story—how federal overreach is crushing American small businesses. This week, the House laid the groundwork to provide Americans with relief from Obamacare. The passing of S. Con. Res. 3 instructs committees to begin drafting legislation to repeal major portions of Obamacare— initiating the repeal and replacement process. Click HERE to read my statement. The House and Senate also joined together to pass a waiver to allow General James Mattis to become the Secretary of Defense. This waiver provides a pathway for Senate confirmation. I look forward to his leadership, especially in fighting radical Islamic extremism.
