This week in georgia's 12th district

I hosted a CSRA Community Forum in Evans to provide a legislative update and answer questions from constituents.

Receiving feedback from Georgia’s 12th District helps me serve you better as your member of Congress. I appreciate all who came to my community forum and encourage anyone who has questions or needs assistance to contact my office.

I had the privilege to meet with student leaders and school administrators at Montgomery County High School. During my visit, I was able to tour the new building and learn more about their technical classes such as welding.

The students of Montgomery County High School have bright futures, as demonstrated by their growing achievements. I enjoyed discussing their successes during my visit – Georgia’s 12th district is proud of these student leaders.

I visited Burke Medical Center to learn more about the challenges of rural healthcare.

I enjoyed my conversation with Burke Medical’s new CEO Brandon Hargrove discussing the challenges faced by rural healthcare providers.

I toured Chicken of the Sea’s facility in Lyons and received an update on their expansion.

I appreciate Chicken of the Sea discussing their expansion efforts and apprenticeship programs with me. Apprenticeships provide Georgia's 12th with opportunities to develop the next generation of skilled workers.

I hosted a Coffee with the Congressman in Vidalia.

It was great meeting with constituents for discussion over coffee in Vidalia. If you have questions or feedback, I will be hosting more coffee meetings throughout the month of August. Follow my Facebook page for updates.

I took some time to catch up with WRDW and WJBF to discuss hot-button issues and my week traveling across the district.

During my TV interviews I also provided an update on the lock and dam and recapped my community forum.

Looking forward to spending another week learning about the wonderful things happening in Georgia’s 12th.
