Putting America on the path to prosperity

.

I recently wrote an Op-Ed for the Statesboro Herald about House Republicans' plan to hit the ground running next Congress with our Commitment to America.

Joe Biden's failed policies have left our country in a state of crisis, with inflation at record highs and our economy now in a recession. My Republican colleagues and I are ready to pump the brakes on Democrats’ out-of-control government spending and put America back on the path to prosperity.

You can read my Op-Ed here.

The Statesboro Herald covered my recent visit to Rolling Monkey Ice Cream, where I spoke with owners Garrett and Meagan Clark about the issues that small businesses like theirs are currently facing.

Having started and run my own small business, I am working to advance pro-growth policies like my Employee Rights Act to make it easier for our nation’s workers and entrepreneurs to seek out the American Dream on their own terms.

Roundtable with the USDA Farm Service Agency

.

Last week, I joined the Georgia Forestry Association and USDA Farm Service Agency Georgia State Executive Director, Arthur Tripp, for a forestry field tour and roundtable discussion.

As a member of the House Agriculture Committee, I am looking forward to working on next year’s Farm Bill and am hearing great ideas on how it can be improved to best work for rural America.

Touring Golden Harvest Food Bank

.

I visited Golden Harvest Food Bank in Augusta last week and spoke with CEO Amy Breitmann about the great work they’re doing to improve food security and nutritional health in our community.

Meeting with the American Hotel and Lodging Association

.

I recently met with the American Hotel and Lodging Association and staff at the Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center to learn more about the lodging industry and support their efforts to boost tourism.

Visiting Beginnings Children's Center

.

As the son of two educators, a father of four, and grandfather of 14, I know how critical it is for children to have a safe and encouraging learning environment in order to achieve their fullest potential.

I visited Beginnings Children's Center in Millen last week to speak with child care providers about the nature of their work and the unique challenges they face.

As a member of the House Education & Labor Subcommittee on Early Childhood Education, I will continue to advocate for the wellbeing of our nation’s children.
