ICYMI: CONGRESSMAN ALLEN HOSTS TELEPHONE TOWN HALL

In case you missed it, Congressman Rick W. Allen (GA-12) hosted a telephone town hall earlier this week to answer questions from residents across Georgia’s 12th District. More than 8,000 constituents joined Tuesday’s call, where Congressman Allen provided updates on current issues and House Republicans' work to support rural communities, lower housing costs, transform health care, bolster election integrity, and more. For those unable to participate in the call, here are some of the highlights:

Two constituents asked about the SAVE America Act and the holdup in the Senate:

Congressman Allen: "...We passed it in the House. We got one Democrat vote and all Republican votes in the House. In Georgia, we have two Democratic senators. Why wouldn't they vote for the SAVE America Act? The SAVE America Act requires every state to follow the same rules. Call your two Georgia senators, and burn the phones up and tell them to pass this thing."

Patrick from Augusta asked about the status of the Eisenhower Army Medical Center:

Congressman Allen: "...I've had meetings at Fort Gordon, and then I've also had meetings here in Washington with the Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, Mike Rogers. We're doing everything we can to save the Eisenhower Army Medical Center."

David asked about Operation Epic Fury and the ongoing U.S.-Iran conflict:

David: "For me, this is not about being a Republican or Democrat, liking or disliking President Trump. Members of my family are Iranian, and we have many friends and family back in Iran, and we fully support these actions. Do you support regime change?"

Congressman Allen: "Yes. What I'd like to see is a democratic election over there, let the people's voice be heard."
