Allen Votes to Provide for Georgia Veterans, Military Installations

WASHINGTON, DC-- U.S. Congressman Rick Allen (R-Ga.-12) released the following statement after the House passed a comprehensive legislative measure to provide needed resources for our veterans and military construction projects and fund the government through December 9, 2016. “Without question, this bill brings much needed resources to VA facilities around the country—including the two in Georgia-12, the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center and Carl Vinson VA Medical Center. Additionally this legislation funds Military Construction for Fiscal Year 2017. With two Army installations in Georgia’s 12th District, including one of the fastest growing bases in the country, Fort Gordon, construction funds are direly needed so our troops can accomplish their mission. I will gladly support legislation that cares for our veterans and funds vital construction for our troops.” ### |
