Allen: I’m Relieved that Senate Democrats Finally Did What was Right

The U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate voted to fund the government today. Congressman Rick W. Allen (GA-12) released the following statement after Senate Democrats did their job and joined with their Republican colleagues to vote to fund our government and our military: “I am relieved that my Senate Democratic colleagues finally did what was right and joined Republicans to vote to fund the government. It is simply inexcusable that they kept funding for our troops and this government hostage for the past three days. We heard their message loud and clear ‘illegal immigrants are more important than American citizens' – and that is just plain wrong.” ### |
