U.S. Congressman Rick Allen (R-Ga.-12) today released the following statement after Dr. Brooks Keel was named the new president of Georgia Regents University (GRU): “I congratulate Dr. Brooks Keel on being selected as President of Georgia Regents University. He has served as a dedicated leader as president of Georgia Southern University, and I look forward to seeing him continue his great work in higher education through this new role at GRU. As a graduate of Augusta College and the Medical College of Georgia, President Keel is well-suited to build upon GRU’s ongoing growth and the unique opportunities the university has long created for students, faculty and the Augusta community.” |
