Rep. Rick Allen Visits Fort Stewart
Washington,
April 11, 2018
U.S. Congressman Rick W. Allen (R-Ga-12) released the following statement after a recent visit to Fort Stewart, the largest Army installation east of the Mississippi river. Congressman Allen received a personal tour and in-depth overview of Fort Stewart from Garrison Commander, Colonel Jason Wolter and toured Winn Army Community Hospital. Fort Stewart is located across five counties in Georgia, including Evans and Tattnall counties located in Georgia’s 12th Congressional District. “Our military is the best in the world, and Fort Stewart is second to none for Army Infantry. I am proud of the work already being done at this critical base, and am excited about the potential opportunities that lie ahead for Fort Stewart. As we move forward with next year’s budgeting process, Congress must prioritize rebuilding our military, ensuring military readiness and updating aging infrastructure—and I promise to continue to do my part to support Fort Stewart’s mission and its people.” Pictures from Congressman Allen's visit to Fort Stewart can be found below: ###
