U.S. Congressman Rick W. Allen (R-Ga-12) issued the following statement after President Trump nominated Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court of the United States to fill the seat vacated by Justice Anthony Kennedy, who announced his retirement in June. “I applaud President Trump’s nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court of the United States last night. Judge Kavanagh has devoted his life to the service of others and has a proven track record of upholding the constitutional values that our nation was founded upon,” said Congressman Allen. “I have no doubt that Judge Kavanaugh will serve the Supreme Court and the American people with dignity and respect, and I urge all of my colleagues in the Senate to move swiftly through the confirmation process.” ### |
