U.S. Congressman Rick W. Allen issued the following statement after attending the grand opening of the Georgia Cyber Center’s Hull McKnight Building in Augusta last night. The Hull McKnight building is the first of two buildings that will make up the more than $100 million cyber education and innovation complex located in the heart of downtown Augusta. “Last night’s grand opening of the Georgia Cyber Center’s Hull McKnight Building was a historic event for the city of Augusta, Georgia’s 12th district, and the state of Georgia as a whole. With U.S. Army Cyber Command’s transition to Fort Gordon, numerous tech companies and employers investing in our area, and the first class cyber education available right here in Augusta, this facility is a brainchild of our community’s needs and a beacon to the world that Augusta is on the map as a hub of cyber innovation,” said Congressman Allen. “Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this a reality and I’d like to congratulate Governor Nathan Deal, whose legacy will always be remembered at the Nathan Deal Campus for Innovation.”
