Rep. Allen's Committee Assignments for the 116th Congress
Washington,
January 23, 2019
U.S. Congressman Rick W. Allen issued the following statement today after he was selected to continue his work on both the House Agriculture Committee and House Education and Labor Committee, formerly known as the House Education and Workforce Committee, for the 116th Congress. Congressman Allen has been a valued member of both committees since 2015. “As I continue my work on the House Agriculture Committee and the House Education and Labor Committee, I look forward to building on some of the tremendous achievements we’ve made over the last four years,” said Congressman Allen. “Just last month, President Trump signed the 2018 Farm Bill into law, which strengthens the farm safety net, provides more flexibility for our producers, protects and expands crop insurance, and much more. With agriculture being the number one industry in Georgia-12 and the state of Georgia as a whole, I am excited to continue my work advocating for the diverse agricultural priorities of our area and overseeing the implementation of the 2018 Farm Bill. “Additionally, on the House Education and Labor Committee, I look forward to supporting pro-growth policies to ensure a qualified workforce for our booming economy. With the new majority leading the Committee, I will fight any proposals that hurt the tremendous growth led by President Trump and the Republican led-Congress. ### |
