Allen Statement on Democrats’ Vote to Block National Emergency

U.S. Congressman Rick W. Allen issued the following statement today after the House of Representatives voted on H. J. Res. 46, legislation terminating the national emergency declared by President Trump on February 15, 2019. “President Trump has made it abundantly clear that effectively securing our border and ensuring the safety and security of our great nation remains paramount, and I stand behind his decision to use his Constitutional authority as President to declare this national emergency,” said Congressman Allen. “House Democrats have proven today once again that they are more concerned with undermining the President of the United States than they are about bringing real solutions to the table to address the national security crisis currently facing our nation.” ### |
