Rep. Rick Allen Announces 2021 Congressional Art Competition

Today, U.S. Congressman Rick W. Allen (GA-12) announced the 2021 High School Congressional Art Competition. Every year, Members of the U.S. House of Representatives sponsor an arts competition to recognize the talent of high school students throughout the nation. This contest is open to all high school students (9th – 12th grade) in Georgia’s 12th district. The winning piece will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol, and other winners’ artwork will be displayed in Congressman Allen’s Washington, D.C. and Augusta offices.

“This is a great opportunity for young artists to display their work for the country to see in the U.S. Capitol,” said Congressman Allen. “I encourage all interested high school students to take part in this special tradition and represent the talent that lives within the 12th District.”

Submitted artwork must be original in concept, design, and execution and must depict a scene from the 12th District of Georgia. All artwork must be submitted no later than Monday, April 26, 2021 at one of the following drop-off locations:

  • Augusta Office: 2743 Perimeter Parkway, Bldg 200, Suite 105, Augusta, GA 30909 (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm)
  • Dublin Office: 100 S. Church St., Dublin, GA 31021 (Monday, April 19th & 26th, 8:30am-12pm)
  • Vidalia Office: 107 Old Airport Rd. Suite A, Vidalia, GA 30475 (Tuesday, April 20th and Wednesday, April 21st, 9am-5pm)
  • Statesboro Office: 50 East Main St., Statesboro, Georgia 30458 (Mon-Fri, 9am-2pm)
