WFXG 7/21/2022 11:03:32 PM: ...their injuries and are reported to be in quote- "good condition" at this time.... we're hearing from our elected leaders tonight... georgia governor brian kemp tweeted that his family is praying for the injured soldiers, and he asks georgians to -quote- "join in mourning the loss of their fellow servicemember." congressman rick allen...also posted this online earlier, saying he too is praying for those affected...quote: "this is a heartbreaking story and our hearts are with the victims and their families." congressman jody hice offered his condolences today, sharing that he and his wife were -quote- "shocked and heartbroken." according to the national weather service, eleven people were killed as a result of lightning in twenty-twenty-one. the chief of public affairs, lietenant colonel sib-arr-eea taylor says, a safety investigation is to follow. ...we'll continue to share developments on this story here on fox54 and online as we get them. in the studio, i'm lauren young. thanks lauren. now-- an update on the double homicide that happened in a days inn earlier this month... the aiken county sheriff's office has arrested a suspect who's wanted for the murders. you can see him on your screen now. 20 year old hasheen glover was arrested around 6:30 this morning for two counts of murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. according to the aiken county sheriff's office...deputies responded to shots fired at the days inn on columbia highway north on july 2nd. there...officials found two men--- 39 year old barry redding and 40 year old stephen pool-- with gunshot wounds. both -- pronounced dead on scene. tonight, the richmond county sheriffs office says they need your help, finding two people wanted for stealing from a church. the incident happened at southern methodist church in the 900 block of johns road. at least two people drove up in a chevrolet equinox. one person got out of the car and took something from the church's mailbox. anyone with information about these people is urged to contact the richmond county sheriffs office. and the columbia county sheriffs office is asking for your help in finding a runaway juvenile. 16 year old khalil newell was last seen july 18th on the 45 hundred block of aylesbury court in evans. khalil is 6 feet one inches, and again, authorities are classifying him as a runaway juvenile. if youve seen khalil, contact the columbia county sheriffs office to help him return home. the city council of harlem met tonight to discuss several important issues... but the most pressing- will the taxes go ... |
