WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Rick W. Allen (GA-12) released the following statement after House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA-23) unveiled the Commitment To America framework outlining the party’s solutions to America’s ongoing economic, border, crime, and related crises:

“The vision that Leader McCarthy presented today represents a new direction for our country—after two years of Democrats’ one-party rule in Washington, the American people have seen the promise of our nation eroded by open borders, wasteful spending, rising prices, and an unaccountable government.

“The Commitment to America is a pact with the American people, promising to deliver common-sense solutions to these crises and get America back on track. I have been honored to serve on the Healthy Future Task Force Affordability subcommittee, developing policy solutions to reduce costs and prioritize transparency and patient choice. Together, we will curb wasteful government spending, bring our supply chain closer to home, restore American energy independence, and preserve the blessings of freedom for future generations. While House Democrats push for more top-down government control, Republicans are working to build an economy that’s strong, a nation that’s safe, a future that’s built on freedom, and a government that’s accountable.”
