Rep. Allen statement on the State of the Union

Today, Congressman Rick W. Allen (GA-12) released the following statement in response to President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address: “True leadership is taking responsibility when you make a bad call, and this president has made several. His immigration policies created a border crisis, his spending policies created historic inflation, and his energy policies caused prices to skyrocket. These are not abstract ideas; these are tough realities that the American people are facing every single day. “Unfortunately, I didn’t hear a plan tonight on how the president plans to fix any of the crises he created. Seven in ten Americans now believe that the United States is on the wrong track, and instead of failing to address the four million illegal border crossings, 6.5 percent inflation, and a 45-percent hike in gas prices, President Biden should have committed to working with the new House Republican majority to get America back on the right track. However, I remain optimistic that we can work together to solve these pressing issues; the American people are depending on it.” # # # |
