Today, Congressman Rick W. Allen (GA-12) participated in a markup in the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, during which he voted to advance several bills that would bolster domestic energy production and ensure the continued security of America’s energy supply chains. These proposals are the result of months-long discussions between committee members and various stakeholders including scientists, farmers, energy producers, and regulators, aimed at reducing costs and reversing the harmful effects of President Biden’s energy agenda. During the markup, Congressman Allen voted to pass the following bills out of committee:
After voting, Congressman Allen made the following statement: “President Biden’s efforts to dismantle our domestic energy sector have not only sent costs sky-high, they have also undermined our national security by jeopardizing essential links in our nation’s energy supply chain. House Republicans made a commitment to fight for an economy that’s strong and a nation that’s safe – the legislation we passed through committee today will bring us a step closer to reducing energy costs for American families and reclaiming American energy independence.”
