Representative Rick Allen (GA-12) is in town. Thursday afternoon, the congressman hosted a military signing day for students.
The service academy students selected from District 12 have been accepted into one of the nation's military service academies through an appointment from Congressman Allen's office.
Six students received nominations, completing a rigorous application process to get to this point.
Allen, the students and their families signed special certificates to commemorate the momentous occasion.
