Today, Congressman Rick W. Allen (GA-12) was selected to serve as Chairman of the Education and Workforce Committee's Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions (H.E.L.P). Upon the announcement, Congressman Allen issued the following statement:
"With forty years of experience building and operating a small business, I am well-aware of how federal policies impact the livelihoods of job creators and workers alike. During President Trump's first term in office, we built the strongest economy in my lifetime, and we can do so again. As Chairman of the HELP Subcommittee, I look forward to leading efforts to return our nation to economic prosperity and dominance—affording all Americans the opportunity to secure a good-paying job, provide for their families, and save for retirement, while also protecting employer-sponsored benefits like health care. I thank Chairman Tim Walberg for entrusting me with this role. Now is the time to hit the ground running and deliver our America First agenda," said Congressman Allen.

SUBCOMMITTEE JURISDICTION: All matters dealing with relationships between employers and employees, including but not limited to the National Labor Relations Act, the Labor-Management Relations Act, and the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act; the Bureau of Labor Statistics; and employment-related health and retirement security, including pension, health, and other employee benefits and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA).
