Today, Congressman Rick W. Allen (GA-12) introduced a resolution expressing support for the designation of the month of March 2025 as "National March into Literacy Month." Upon its introduction, Congressman Allen issued the following statement:
"Studies show that children who are not reading proficiently by the third grade are four times less likely to graduate from high school on time. This highlights the necessity of intervening early in a child's life and instilling a love and passion for reading. As a grandfather and a member of the House Education and Workforce Committee, I have long prioritized childhood literacy efforts in Congress. I am honored to introduce this resolution recognizing March 2025 as 'National March into Literacy Month' and reaffirm my commitment to ensuring the American Dream is accessible for all children."
