Allen Statement on Rural America Executive Order

U.S. Rep. Rick W. Allen (R-GA-12) issued the following statement in response to the President’s executive order entitled “Promoting Agriculture and Rural Prosperity in America:” “Georgia’s hardworking farmers and rural communities deserve a government that serves their interests, and today President Trump has taken a tremendous step towards this goal. With today’s executive order, President Trump has directed Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue to lead the Interagency Task Force on Agriculture and Rural Prosperity. Following the Task Force’s report after 180 days, I look forward to working with them as a member of the House Agriculture Committee to identify and eliminate unnecessary regulations that hurt our rural communities.” ### |
