Allen Supports Building a Better America Budget

The U.S. House of Representatives passed the Fiscal Year 2018 Budget today. Congressman Rick W. Allen (R-GA-12) released the following statement in response to passage of the Building a Better America budget:
“In the real world, if you don’t balance your budget, you go out of business. Our country has been heading down a dangerous path for the past decade—but we can make a change to get back on track for future generations. “That’s why I was proud to vote for the House Budget Committee’s budget that balances within 10 years, provides for the National defense, and cuts more than $200 billion in mandatory spending. Not only will this budget put us on a sustainable spending path, but it paves the way for tax reform. “Tax reform affects everyone, and millions of Americans are looking to Congress to fix our broken tax code.
